Have you been in a crowd with a bunch of people and still felt alone? Maybe people talk over you when you speak up, maybe you are talking with someone, but they are focused on themselves or not paying attention to you. In these moments, we feel alone because it seems like no one cares about us or wants to form a relationship. If we know Jesus and want to live like him, we have an incredible opportunity to show people they aren't alone and remind them they are loved.

How do we do that? In the book of Colossians, the author tells us how to treat people around us and how to show them they are loved. We can show them they matter if we treat people with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Taking the time to offer these things to others can help them see the love God has for them.
