The Ageless One in Time's Embrace

DAY 1 OF 7

Christmas is more than a nice story

“When the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.” (Galatians 4:4-5)

Listening to the well-known Christmas stories about a baby in a manger, shepherds receiving the good news from a crowd of angels in the middle of the night, and wise men coming from a far country to bring gifts, we might get the impression it’s all a heartwarming fairy-tale.

But it’s not. These events were real. They have changed the world. And if we understand the real meaning of Christmas, our lives will change as well! The birth of Jesus Christ was a crucial part of God’s eternal salvation plan.

Galatians 4 tells us that God sent His Son to become man “when the fullness of time had come.” God had planned all this before the foundation of the world and had orchestrated the world’s history in a perfect way. And then, about 2000 years ago, the right time had finally come. Jesus Christ was born of a woman. He was born with the mission to redeem humans and bring them back to God the Father.

The Christmas story is not just a nice story that sparks feelings of love and joy and peace. No, it is a key component of the Bible’s larger story that starts before creation and ends with a new world.

What does Christmas mean to you?

Day 2

About this Plan

The Ageless One in Time's Embrace

The Christmas story is not just about a baby in a manger and some shepherds visiting Him. This story actually starts before the creation of the world, with the Word of God being with God and being God Himself. It is about God the Son becoming man while remaining God. This plan helps you understand the real, deep meaning of Christmas.
