Think of a crossroad sign. This sign has two lines overlapping each other, making a plus sign. The sign shows drivers that they are at a crossroads. At a crossroads, we have a choice to make regarding which direction we will go.

Jesus faced a crossroad of a different kind. Jesus carried the cross along the road to the place where He would be crucified. This road to the cross led to Jesus dying on the cross to take the punishment for sin so that we could be saved.

There is only one way that we can be saved. It’s not by us trying to be good or perfect enough to make ourselves right with God. The only way to be saved is through Jesus Christ.

That leaves us all with a choice to make. We can choose which direction to go. We can choose to keep living life our own way or follow Jesus, accepting Him as our Lord and Saviour. There’s only ONE WAY we can be saved. Jesus the Messiah made a way for salvation.
