Heaven Knows God Goes before Us

When the Russian invasion occurred, missionaries who had given their lives to serve the people of Ukraine had to leave their ministry and the people they had grown to love. In a time of chaos and evil, they had to go to the border of a neighboring country for safety.

It must have been heart-wrenching for them to leave their ministry and their flock behind. Yet God was already preparing a way for them. He knew that the refugees from Ukraine would need someone to receive them and show them the love of Christ.

God had gone before them. He knew the exact location where the missionaries would be needed. He led them to a bordering country where refugees would soon come. There, the missionaries could connect with churches and develop a relationship with them.

Seeing how God used the missionaries in this difficult situation to minister to refugees was amazing. Displaced Ukrainians were able to receive help from people who spoke their language, and knew their culture. They were also introduced to the gospel. What an incredible way for God to bring good out of a terrible situation.

God is always going before us. We may not understand why we are going through difficult times, but we can trust that God has a plan. He knows what we need before we ask and He is always working behind the scenes to prepare the way for us.

As we reflect on Easter, let us remember that through His death and resurrection, Christ made a way for us to have eternal life and a restored relationship with God.

If you have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, take this opportunity to pray and ask Him into your life. He is the only one who can provide true purpose, peace, and joy. If you already know Him as your Savior, commit to following Him with all your heart. We can be motivated and comforted by knowing He has gone before us.

He knows what we need. When we choose to follow Him, we experience the abundance of joy and blessings that only He can provide.
