Moses - a Life of PurposeSample

God calls us to follow His purpose, and it’s important to remember HE is the one who we are following, and His purpose for us is better than we can even imagine. We begin to discover what God has called us to do by learning more about Him and learning about the different gifts and talents God has given each of us. As you try different things, learn, discover, and grow, you can find what your unique purpose might be.
Some jobs need you to be qualified, which means you need to learn things, pass some tests, and be approved. You’d want your bus driver to be qualified to drive a bus, wouldn’t you? Moses didn’t feel qualified. He didn’t think he was a good enough speaker, he thought no one would listen to him, and he even tried to tell God that someone else should do it! When God asks you to do something, and you obey His call in your life, that’s all you need to get started. It’s wise to take the right steps and learn the right lessons as you follow God’s call in your life. God doesn’t call us to follow His purpose because of anything we have done, and so we don’t have to be good enough, perfect enough, or smart enough before God will use us for His purpose. It’s God working in us and through us that makes us qualified.
