HERO | A Children's Book Connecting Jesus' Ministry To ElishaSample
Stars peek through the darkness as the sun falls beyond the horizon.
Saba comes in from the fields in the evening. Saba is the Jewish name for “Grandfather,” and my Saba is known by everyone to be a man with a joyful smile, a man always carrying a story, and a man who smells of grassy fields and woolly sheep. The most special thing about my Saba is how he loves his God, Yahweh. He talks about him more than he talks about anything else, except maybe me of course, his youngest grandson.
I am Eli, and I am 8 years old. I always look forward to my Saba coming home from the fields. After he dusts himself off from a long day, he sits with me around the fire, and as he eats, he tells the most wonderful stories.

About this Plan
John's gospel can be broken into four parts: an Introduction (John 1:-1:18), the Book of signs (1:19-12:50), the Book of exaltation (13:1-20:31) and an epilogue (Chapter 21). In the book HERO, children and adults alike, can adventure with Eli and Saba (Eli’s Grandfather) on a wild ride of storytelling and discovery, and discover how John’s Gospel intentionally pairs John the Baptist's ministry with Elijah, and Jesus’ ministry with Elisha.
