The Values of a Biblical Worldview

DAY 4 OF 6

Confidence

Confidence comes from a strong belief that you are known and loved. You can live with confidence because of how much God knows and loves you! But how can we be so sure of this? Because of the cross! God the Father sent Jesus to die on the cross for our sins and to redeem us. Do you realize what this means? It means that you are fully known and fully loved by the God who created you. And the cross is the proof.

You never have to question your value, no matter what anyone says about you. So never forget how valuable you are! You always have a reason to live with confidence because of what Jesus did for you. Our confidence should not come from our abilities, friends, or moral performance. These things are not dependable. No, our confidence comes from God's immeasurable love for us, which was showcased through Jesus on the cross! When we understand this, we will walk with the courage and boldness needed to shine light in dark places, stand up for what is right, and to repent when we make mistakes.

Here are some things to do and think about today:

  • What does our faith in Christ give us?
  • How can a knowledge of God’s love affect our confidence?
  • Where does your confidence come from?
  • What is an example of a time when you stood up for what was right?
  • What distracts you from resting in God’s love?
