GO THE DISTANCE
In Matthew 8, a Roman captain came to Jesus and begged Him to heal his servant, who was in terrible pain. Jesus offered to go to the captain’s house, but the captain said that wasn’t necessary, because he knew Jesus could heal his servant even from a distance. Surprised and impressed, Jesus praised the captain for his faith and told him to go home, and immediately, his servant was healed.
God’s power is so great, it can cross any distance — and His power lives in us! And with technology and social media, it’s easy to reach people thousands of miles away from us.
In Matthew 5:16, we’re commanded to be a light to the world by showing God’s love to people near and far. And He’s given you the power to do just that!
Remember, Jesus has also called you to more — to have deeper faith, do greater things, and shine a brighter light. Why not shine wherever and however you can, no matter the distance?
Ask yourself: What are some ways I can have a positive influence on others around me this week? How can I be a “light” to people even when I’m not near them?

About this Plan
Jesus did incredible works during His time on earth. And before He left, He said we would do even greater things after He was gone. That’s a huge promise coming from the One who walked on water and healed the blind. But with God, we have the power to change the world — and we can expect Him to have greater things in store for us!
