HopeSample
Have you heard of a broken heart? When someone is so impacted emotionally, that they say they’re “heartbroken”, something might have happened to them or someone they love and they are sad and upset in a big way.
I’m sure we all know someone who loves their sports team SO much that if they don’t win they start to call themselves “heartbroken”. That’s probably an overreaction, but it is possible that when people are “heartbroken” emotionally, that they might also suffer physical symptoms of a broken heart.
There have been medical studies to show that when people are heartbroken their heart can actually be broken, that what is happening emotionally is showing itself inside their body and causing their heart to be sick.
Hope deferred, or hope being put on hold and held back makes the heart sick, when we have our hope deferred and have our hope in things other than God. If we have our hope in a person or in luck or money or some earthly thing we have deferred our hope away from God. When your hope is in God you will see His goodness in your life and His plans fulfilled.Hope in the right place keeps you safe and secure. With our soul anchored by hope in God we can be safe and secure in Him. He is an anchor for your soul. If your hope is in God you are safe and secure.
