Beneath the SurfaceSample

Have you ever played a video game where you couldn't decide what to do next? Maybe you have to decide between a few different side quests. You know there's a right move and a wrong move, but you have no idea which is which. The wrong move might be a total catastrophe. You could lose a life or lose a ton of points, but the right move just might lead to a win.
Life can feel just like a big video game, can't it? Like you're trying to decide between a bunch of different options, and you have no idea which move to make. When we rely on our own way of thinking, discerning what to do gets tough. Decisions about things like who to date, what college to attend, and what kind of friend to make all seem way too big for you to make all by yourself.
Fortunately, you're not making those decisions by yourself. God’s plans for our lives aren’t a video game where you either make the right decision or blow the whole thing. God's will is a story that's being written every day, and God provides wisdom for every situation you will encounter. We may not be able to see the big picture, but we can trust that God will provide what we need around every turn.

About this Plan

Who do you think you are? You might define your identity around your skills, abilities, and giftings. Those are great ways to start our journey, but they don’t quite reach the center. In the same way, an oceanographer heads into the depths to reveal the ocean's mysteries, we’ll need to prepare to dive deep to discover who we are and who we are becoming.
