The Story of My Life - Seeing Yourself in the Life of MosesSample
I Will Be With You
Invitation to SELAH
Before you spend time face-to-face with God today, take some time to SELAH (Stop, Exhale, Lean In, Ask & Hear).
Reflect
God’s ultimate and clear response to Moses’ shame-filled question, Who am I? wasn’t an affirmation of how awesome Moses was. Instead, God’s response was a simple yet profoundly life-changing statement. “I will be with you.” What if you lived out of confidence not in how good, smart, wise, talented, or athletic you are, but instead lived a life of confidence out of the reality that the Creator of the Universe is with you? We will never fully live out a purpose-filled life if we try to do it apart from God.
God is inviting you into his plan. He didn’t invite you only to believe in Him, but to follow Him. We often say that we want to live and love like Jesus, but you can never do that without spending time with Jesus. Today, God will be with you in your classes. God will be with you in your tests. God will be with you in your friendships. God will be with you at home. God will be with you in the whole of every moment. Will you be with Him?
