Remember Your Place

People are always hungry for the next “big” thing. Hungry to be on the cutting edge. Desperately seeking to join the thing that isn't cool yet, so we can be known as the first one to jump on the trend.

But we believe that the “next big thing” is the thing right in front of you.

When we started OUTCRY, we were adamant that we are not a movement, but we exist to magnify the movement of the Church. The Church is the most diverse and powerful movement the world has ever seen. That is what you get to be a part of week in and week out. There are countless churches world-wide, some are strong in evangelism. Others are academic or charismatic. But each one—no matter how big, or relevant, or political—is significant. 

In the kingdom of God, the sum of all the parts is what makes the sum so beautiful. 

In 1 Corinthians Paul talks about the body of Christ. These verses pertain to individuals but they also pertain—if you zoom back a bit—to churches. 

Maybe you are leading 10 people. Maybe 50. Maybe 10,000. The beautiful thing about the Church is that your size does not determine your significance. Not every church makes the same impact, but every church carries the same significance.

Your church or ministry is significant because you get to minister to people I’ll never meet. Remember your place in the larger Body does not diminish your impact, but magnifies it!
