Planted and FlourishingSample

Our lives are like a garden. Left on our own, with no gardener, weeds can spring up. Weeds might be like bad attitudes, unkind words, thoughts that take us off track, and behaviour that tears us down. We can be overgrown with anger, bitterness, sadness, or selfishness. A life that is like an overgrown garden that isn’t doing what it’s purposed to do.
A life that allows God to be the gardener is shaped by God through His Word. Weeds like bad attitudes and wrong thinking are pulled out, things that don’t belong in the garden are cut away, and good things can flourish and bear fruit.
Bearing fruit means there are good things that come from your life. To flourish means we bear fruit. What’s some good fruit you’d like to see in your life? Good friendships, serving others, loving one another, making a difference for others, and most importantly, growing to be more like Jesus. On our own, we can try to do our best, but it’s nothing like the flourishing life God has for us when we stay connected to Him. Stay connected to God and flourish.
