A Man on a Mission
Paul is shown what lies ahead, and so he calls on some of his beloved friends from Ephesus to say goodbye.
Read: Acts 20:13-27 (NLT)
Explore the Theme: With humility and resolve, Paul shares his heart with the elders, giving them a glimpse of both what he’s been through and what is to come. Paul offers them--and us--a very real picture of a life surrendered to Jesus. What most stands out to you from Paul’s message to his friends and fellow believers?
Ask God: Paul served Jesus through the incredible and the incredibly challenging, yet he never lost sight of his calling or the grace of God. How does Paul’s perspective change your perspective on your own relationship with God, your work, or your ministry? Ask God if there are any areas where you need to shift your focus from your circumstances to his grace so that you can finish your race.
Live it Out: Paul lived a lot of life, but he rarely lived it alone. He counted on community in the best and worst of times. If you’re in a community, reach out and offer thanks for a specific way they’ve supported you. If you’re not in a community, what is a first step you could take to be real with others?

About this Plan
(Part three of a four part journey through the Books of Acts.) Even in (and especially in?) hard times, God is present and is working to build His Church. We can find encouragement in this. When circumstances force us to pivot, we don’t have to lose heart - God is with us.
