Take a few seconds to imagine your dream life. What’s it like?

Maybe your dream life is having a lot of money and living in a big, nice house with a lot of nice stuff. Maybe your dream life is traveling all around the world going to amazing places and doing the coolest things. Maybe your dream life is eating your favorite foods all day every day. Maybe your dream life is just never needing to go to school again.

If you could, would you trade the life you have now for your dream life? Of course, you would!

While most of us would do just about anything to achieve our dream life, Jesus did the exact opposite. Jesus is God. He existed before everything and everything exists through Him. He dwelled in the perfection of Heaven apart from the sufferings and pain of humanity. He had armies of angels worshipping Him nonstop. And yet, He chose to trade all of that to come to earth in human form and live with us. He humbled Himself to experience everything we do – pain, suffering, rejection, grief, and eventually, even death. Jesus allowed Himself to lose everything so that we could have the opportunity to gain everything through Him.
