Twenty Five Days of Christmas DevotionsSample

The wise men had travelled a long way to worship the King. They worshiped Him with precious gifts from a faraway land. Yet, they were only offering to the Lord a symbol of what they would be receiving from Jesus, the Saviour who had come into this world.
They offered gold which spoke of the royalty and purity of the Saviour. They offered frankincense which represented the sweet aroma of a life of goodness that Jesus would live on this earth. Finally, they offered myrrh, a bitter herb which symbolised the suffering that the Saviour would undergo to redeem mankind from their sin. Today, what can you offer back as an act of worship to the Lord? First, a life of purity that befits a child of God. Second, a life of goodness that gives a pleasant fragrance to those around. Finally, a life that is willing to suffer for the sake of righteousness and the name of Jesus. Oh, come let us adore and worship Him with our lives.

About this Plan

There is no better season than Christmas to dwell on the reason for the season. Over the next 25 days, we will look back at some key prophecies relating to the promised Messiah. We will also observe the lives and circumstances that surrounded the birth of Jesus. Above all, we will see how Jesus makes a difference in our lives both now and forever.
