Promises in Receiving Christ

DAY 12 OF 13

Promise 12: You are given God’s full provision & everything you will ever need.

God longs to supply all the needs of His dear people (Phil.4:19). This is one of the greatest promises of Scripture.

a. There is the great Provider: God Himself. No matter what your need is, the need is not greater than God’s ability to supply it. God can and will meet your need. But note the pronoun my. It is “my God” who can provide for your needs (Rom.8:32).You must make sure that you are a true believer...

  • That the God you follow is the true and living God, the God who can truly provide for your needs.
  • That you know God personally—well enough that you can trust and depend upon God to meet your needs.

b. There is the great assurance of provision: “my God shall supply.” God is omnipotent, all powerful; He is able to provide and will supply whatever provision you need.

c. There is the great provision itself: “all your needs.” This promise refers not only to your physical need for food, clothing, and shelter but also to your mental, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. It refers to any need that arises, engulfs, or confronts you. No need will be omitted or overlooked. No need is too big or too small. No need is unimportant to God if you, His child, are experiencing the need.

d. There is the great resource: “according to His riches in glory.” Take all the riches and wealth, the glory and majesty of heaven—it is all available to meet the needs of God’s dear people. There is no limit, not even a fraction, to the great resources at God’s disposal. God can provide for any need you have.

e. There is the great Mediator: “by Christ Jesus.” This point is most significant, for God does nothing apart from Christ. No person can approach God without coming to Him through Jesus Christ. This is the key to having your needs met: surrendering your life to Christ and asking God to meet your needs because of Christ’s great love for you. You must always remember that God has only one child: the Lord Jesus Christ. And God loves His Son so much that He will do anything for the person who honors Christ by living for Him and sacrificially giving to share the glorious news about Him.
