My God Cheers for My Team
If you are a man who likes sports like me, you probably prayed for your team to win. That is not selfish; of course, for one team to win, another has to lose. God is just, and if your team is not the one, He wants to win, I respect that. That made my frustrations a lot less painful.
I understand He can see things we cannot; He can see the hearts, the dedication, the respect, the friendship, the humbleness, and a lot of other things, and all is measured through His scale.
Nowadays, we see a lot of players praying before games, after a score, after a victory, and even after a defeat. I believe my prayers might not change the score, but if this is one of the factors God is using in His decision, I will do my part and pray for my team, my players, and maybe that will help them win. People might criticize those kinds of prayers, but honestly, I think any prayer is welcome by our Lord, so why not?
