The Thin Line Between Fear & FaithSample
Day 5: How to Get Back
Whenever you are faced with tough choices I hope you choose faith over fear. It may be hard or scary, but it will always work out better in the end.
In those times when we don’t, God always provides a way for us to get back on track. It’s up to us to take Him up on it.
Since we get off track by making a choice we get back on track by making a choice. The choice will be to repent and obey God. As long as we have breath in our lungs it is never too late to follow the instructions God is giving us. It will always be life giving when we do.
That’s what Elijah did after he had run away from Jezebel. God met him in his running and fear. He nourished him and prepared him for the next phase of his journey. Elijah expressed how he felt and then obeyed God. He listened to God’s commands and wound up training a prophet that did twice as many miracles as he did!
When we get off track we should not give up. If you feel like you got off track, pause and talk to God to get right again. Confess your shortcomings to Him. Then ask what He wants you to do now. Follow how He leads you. Don’t forget that the road will get tough again, and you will have another choice. Just make sure to trust God through all things.

About this Plan
Sometimes the line between fear and faith is razor thin. A moment, a decision, or a split-second choice can demonstrate whether we are living in fear or acting in faith. In the midst of difficulty, how do we ensure our faith remains in God and no other source? This devotional covers how to remain in faith or return if we’ve left.
