Caring With Others

DAY 2 OF 5

Encourage Others to Participate

In the gospel of Matthew, we hear about Jesus caring for people. He did this by healing every disease and every affliction - while proclaiming the good news that God’s kingdom has arrived. Jesus cared for people in one city or village, then moved on to the next. Seeing all their needs, Jesus felt deep compassion for the people. He saw and was burdened by their helplessness. So what did He do? He asked His friends to pray earnestly that the Lord would send laborers to minister to people. Even more, Jesus extended the privilege of caring for others to his twelve closest allies. Debbie McGoldrick explains how God works through combined efforts when we involve others.

Listen to Debbie

Do you sense there are more existing needs than you are able to meet? Jesus understood the need for more laborers. As God leads you to care for others, start by asking Him to send other like-minded individuals to join you. Consider inviting your friends and be sure to empower them for the work to be done, as Jesus did. You can do more together. Your group, working together to care, will serve as a powerful example of the kingdom of God that Jesus came to proclaimed.

About this Plan

Caring With Others

Individually we can only do so much to care for others. Connecting with other like-minded individuals will accomplish more. If everyone plays even a small role, the combined total makes a big difference . Each of these devotionals contain a short audio message ( 1-2 minutes ). The guests share ideas on how you can seek out others to join you and how together you can make a difference in others’ lives.
