Caring With OthersSample
Change Can Happen
“Lord, I’ll never change; He will never change.” It is easy to think negative thoughts of ourselves or others. These thoughts limit us in our ability to care, connect and serve as God wants. For more than 40 years, people walked past a man crippled from birth (Acts 4). He was carried to the temple gate each day to sit and beg. They perceived this man to be beyond help. “When we view life change as something impossible, it is our hearts that are "crippled." Lives can change, and they are changed through Jesus everyday. A worker with the homeless, William Lowry shares this powerful, life-changing story.

God, not us, is Master and the maestro of life-change. When we give Him access to our hearts, He can use us to help meet spiritual, physical and emotional needs. Our fears, pride, insecurities, or unbelief, do not have to keep us from loving others well. People change when others are persistent with showing they care. Ask the Lord who could benefit from an act of your care today. Whose life might you – through Jesus – help change?

About this Plan
Individually we can only do so much to care for others. Connecting with other like-minded individuals will accomplish more. If everyone plays even a small role, the combined total makes a big difference . Each of these devotionals contain a short audio message ( 1-2 minutes ). The guests share ideas on how you can seek out others to join you and how together you can make a difference in others’ lives.
