Reaching the PromisedSample
THE RESTORATION OF THE GARDEN
God established a decree for you to have authority. If you have given your heart to Christ, you are His son/daughter. You are considered a co-laborer with God. God gave you a position lower than God but a little higher than angelic beings so that you could exercise God's kingdom here on earth. What kind of God would give us such a position? Indeed, one who has all the power and authority at His disposal. He desires to have fellowship with us and is pleased to see us operate under His name. What kind of God is He that He would leave His throne, dispose of His deity, and come as the Anointed human being, Son of God, to rescue us and make our relationship with God right again? The Bible says He made us a little lower than Elohim, and this is the title and one of the names of God. He made us to reign in a partnership with Him.
God's heart is to restore His people to Adam and Eve's original state in the Garden of Eden. In the beginning, God created a place for Adam and Eve to abide; it is where God established the blessing for humanity! The Garden of Eden represents a promise for us to reach, which we know is possible because the Garden of Eden already existed. This is where humans like you and I experience the fullness of a right relationship with God. This is where sorrow didn't exist; tears did not exist because of sadness, and companionship and closeness with God were the order of the day. In addition, they enjoyed complete freedom with God, divorce didn't exist, sickness was not present, broken families did not exist, anxiety was not part of this fantastic place, depression was not felt, for the joy of the Lord was the very air you breathed. Their ears were attentive to God's instruction. Being busy was being occupied with fellowship in the cool breeze of the afternoon, hanging out with God; God's desire for you and me is to restore you to a place like the Garden.
The testing ground of man's fidelity to God's commands through obedience was the Garden of Eden, and through disobedience, the Garden was lost. It will be regained as the new paradise (Revelation 22:14). For those who place any credibility in the biblical record, the evidence for a literal Eden is powerful. This place intertwines with central teachings of the Christian faith, such as a literal Creation, Fall, and restoration, which gives it even more importance. To deny a literal Eden is to deny a foundation stone for basic Bible teachings for which there is strong evidence.
Throughout history and even biblical accounts, God desires to restore us to the Garden. Every man and woman of God lost their place of authority and blessing, but when you and I come to Christ, we will regain the blessing once again. We are reconstituting what was lost!
