God's Redemption Story (The Gospels)Sample

Life & Teachings of Jesus - Day 13
Our culture has a lot of different opinions about God in general and Jesus specifically. To some, he’s a savior. Others consider him a fairy tale character. Many people today only know his name as a curse word. In Luke 9:18, Jesus asked his closest friends what the general population was saying about him, and the consensus was some prophet everyone could name but no one could recognize.
In verse 20, Jesus asked the critical question. “Who do you say I am?”
That’s the most important question for each one of us. We can get political opinions from the news and fashion opinions from our friends and professional opinions from our colleagues. But we have to make our own decisions about Jesus and the free gift of eternal life that he’s offering. I call him Lord. Who do you say he is?
