God's Redemption Story (The Gospels)Sample

Jesus’ Arrest, Trial, and Crucifixion - Day 5
Peter said he was ready to die with Jesus, but Jesus knew Peter would deny knowing him. When Jesus was arrested and tried, Peter did deny Jesus. As soon as he heard the rooster crowing, he remembered that Jesus had predicted that moment.
Do you think mornings were tough for Peter after that? He lived in a society where everyone kept chickens. Roosters crowed on the daily. Was Peter reminded every morning of his failure? Curiously, Peter talks about grace, not failure, in the books he later wrote.
Do you feel you’ve failed God? Don’t let that moment define you. Ask Jesus for the forgiveness he died to give you.
