Day 5: Standing Firm in the Faith

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58).

Theme

When confronted with overwhelming opposition and violence from government authorities, Nate’s team remains steadfast and immovable as they deliver the pure, unaltered Word of God to their fellow believers. Neither threats nor persecution could loosen their grip on truth or steer them off course. Their examples show what spiritual steadfastness looks like. It is a refusal to surrender your convictions even when faced with oppression. Nate’s team models the rare strength to stay “immovable” even when facing intense pressures to give in and give up.

Despite severe persecution, Nate, Jim, and the other underground church members remained unwavering in their faith and mission.
