Day 9: Leaving a Lasting Legacy

Theme

Though the Bible-smuggling operation exacts a tragic toll, with key members such as JJ and Jake losing their lives, their sacrifices leave an enduring legacy that extends into the future through people such as Austin. This generational impact beautifully demonstrates the biblical call to work to produce lasting spiritual fruit. While willingly enduring suffering to spread God’s Word, these martyrs model the truth that a seed must fall to the ground and die before producing a plentiful harvest. These scenes remind us that sacrifices we make for God’s kingdom have an eternal impact.

In the final scenes, eight years in the future, we see the lasting impact of the team members’ sacrifices in the lives of people such as Austin and Danelle.
