Day 22 Renewal Readings
The Attributes of God
I will arise and bless the Lord my God, who is from everlasting to everlasting. Blessed be Your glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise! (Nehemiah 9:5)
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to those on whom His favor rests. (Luke 2:14)
The Works of God
I will remember the works of the Lord; surely, I will remember Your wonders of long ago. I will meditate on all Your works and consider all Your mighty deeds. Your way, O God, is holy. What god is so great as our God? You are the God who works wonders; You have revealed Your strength among the peoples. You redeemed Your people with Your power, the descendants of Jacob and Joseph. (Psalm 77:11-15)
As the earth brings forth its sprouts and as a garden causes that which is sown to spring up, so the Lord God will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations. (Isaiah 61:11)
My Relationship to God
Blessed be the Lord; day by day, He bears our burdens, the God of our salvation. Our God is the God of salvation, and to God the Lord belongs escape from death. (Psalm 68:19-20)
Lord Jesus, all that the Father gives You will come to You, and whoever comes to You, You will never cast out. For You have come down from heaven not to do Your own will, but the will of Him who sent You. And this is the will of Him who sent You, that You will lose none of all that He has given You, but raise them up at the last day. For Your Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him may have eternal life, and You will raise him up at the last day. (John 6:37-40)
The Character I Want to Cultivate
What is desirable in a man is his kindness, and it is better to be a poor man than a liar. (Proverbs 19:22)
As one who has been chosen of God, holy and beloved, I will put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with others and forgiving others even as the Lord forgave me; and above all these things, I will put on love, which is the bond of perfection. (Colossians 3:12–14)
My Relationship to Others
I will love my enemies and pray for those who persecute me. (Matthew 5:44)
I will love my enemies, do good to those who hate me, bless those who curse me, and pray for those who mistreat me. Just as I want others to do to me, I will do to them in the same way. (Luke 6:27–28, 31)
