Lent: The Journey of Letting GoSample

Lent: The Journey of Letting Go

DAY 11 OF 40

Week 2: Trusting God’s Guidance in Uncertainty

Theme: Living in God’s Kingdom means embracing a love and faith that often defy our expectations, inviting us to sacrifice, trust, and grow in humility.

Focus Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him and He will make your paths straight.”

Connect: Loving people who are kind to us is easy, but loving those who hurt or frustrate us feels impossible. Jesus calls us to a higher love—a love that doesn’t depend on how others treat us. What if God is inviting you to let go of expectations and love others the way God loves you?

Engage: Jesus commands us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. This radical love reflects God’s stance to us. God calls us to extend this love because unconditional love transforms situations. Think about times when you were shown love even though you hadn’t done anything to deserve it. When we extend this love that God has shown us it can be a gateway for people to be open to God’s love that is ever pursuing them.

Apply: Thank God for the unconditional love that you have received in life. Where can you show love where it has been difficult recently?

About this Plan

Lent: The Journey of Letting Go

Lent begins with a call to release control and embrace surrender. By letting go of the burdens we carry, we create space for God’s grace to bring renewal and transformation. Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
