Fear Not, for I Am With You

DAY 3 OF 3

How are you doing today? I want to share something powerful with you from Nahum chapter one, verse seven. It says, "The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that trust in Him."

There's a lot packed into this verse. First, notice the word "Lord" is written in all capital letters. That's not just a random choice. It's a reference to God's personal name, Jehovah. This is the name that speaks to His role as the covenant keeper—the One who makes promises and keeps them, the God who is self-existent and ever-present.

Now, if you're new to reading the Bible, you might wonder why the word "Lord" is in all caps. It's important because it refers to God as the One who made promises to His people and has always kept them. He's the God who spoke to Moses, revealing His covenant and His faithfulness. He's not like the fleeting forces of the world; He is constant and true. When He says something, you can be sure He'll make it happen.

What does this mean for you today? It means you can trust God. His promises will come to pass. Heaven and earth may pass away, but not one word of His will fail. He is a promise keeper, and whatever He has spoken over your life, you can count on it.

Think about Moses. God didn't come to him because Moses had earned anything. God came because of a promise He made to Abraham centuries earlier. God's word didn't change with time. He didn't forget His promise just because time had passed. God's promises are not limited by circumstances. He doesn't break His word.

As you go about your day—whether you're heading to work, handling family matters, or just navigating through the challenges of life—remember this: The Lord is good. He's the covenant keeper, the promise keeper, and He is walking with you today.

But there's more in this verse. It also tells us that God is a stronghold in the day of trouble. I can't think of a more comforting truth. Trouble comes, doesn't it? The Bible tells us that man is born to trouble, just like sparks fly upward. Trouble comes quickly and unexpectedly. But when it does, God is our refuge. He is our stronghold. He's the place where we can find safety, peace, and strength when everything else around us feels like it's falling apart. When life gets overwhelming, God is the place where we can take shelter.

Remember this: You are not alone. You have a place of rest, and it is found in the presence of God. The enemy would love for you to feel exposed and helpless, but that's a lie. You have a hiding place, and it's in God. No matter what comes your way, He is watching over you. He will protect you, preserve you, and you will see His glory in your life.

As you step out today, step out with confidence. Step out knowing that God is with you, that He is good, and that He is your stronghold. There is no one like God. He holds everything in His hands, and He is on your side.

And here's one more thing from this verse that I want you to hold on to: God knows those who trust in Him. He knows you—your heart, your struggles, your desires. He's not distant. He's right there with you, working on your behalf.

So, as you go through your day, keep this in mind: God is for you. His goodness, His protection, and His promises are all with you. You will see the glory of God in your life today.

Go out and do great things for God. Don't hold back. You are a vessel of His greatness, and today, I believe you will see a breakthrough. You will return with a testimony, rejoicing because God's goodness will be evident in your life.

God bless you today. May His favor rest upon you. Walk in confidence, do all that God has called you to do, and know that He is with you. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Day 2

About this Plan

Fear Not, for I Am With You

Fear may try to overwhelm us, but God's Word reminds us: Do not be afraid, for I am with you (Isaiah 41:10). This powerful truth assures us that God is by our side, ready to strengthen and guide us through every trial. No matter the uncertainty we face, we can find peace in knowing the Creator walks with us. Embrace this promise—God is with you, He will help you, and you will not fail. Rejoice, for He has good plans for your life. Written by Pastor Mark Mintah of THE WORD IN ACTION CHURCH, Ghana, Africa.
