Revelation 12:10-11

What we know about God, Satan also knows. He knows that God cannot tolerate sin. He knows that the consequences of sin is death and that God will not clear the guilty. Therefore, as the scripture tells us, he will use our sinful behaviour, to accuse us day and night before our God. Satan knows that God cannot deny His character and will not contradict himself - He will by no means clear the guilty. God made a covenant with Israel to live a life according to His holy laws. To follow His precepts and they would be His people. Our God is covenant keeping God. The Israelites' sins were too great to uphold the law and there was no chance for Gentiles outside of that covenant. Thankfully, in Matthew 5:17 we know that Jesus came to fulfil the law. “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfil them”. And not only did Christ fulfil the law but He has given everyone access to a relationship with our Heavenly Father. Furthermore, Galatians 3:27-28 says “For all of you who were baptised into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise”.

So today, through Christ, we have legal access to God and His promises. Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ has come. Repentance and a belief and life in Jesus, gives us legal rights to God’s promise of salvation. Conversely, sin gives the enemy access to our lives and everything that is connected to us. Living a life fuelled by fleshly desires or even the things that we have compartmentalised and put on the backburner instead of truly turning away from put us in agreement with satan. Those are things that the enemy is using to accuse us and gain access into our lives so that he can kill, steal and destroy. So, today reflect on what areas in your life are a doorway for the enemy, and whether you are giving the enemy legal grounds to accuse you.

Take time to examine your heart and freely bring before Him areas that you need the blood of Jesus to wash clean so that you can close the door to the enemy.
