Why Do We Call It Christmas?Sample

On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me … We all know the popular song about the 12 Days of Christmas, but where did it come from? And what does it have to do with Jesus? Actually, according to the Church calendar, there really are 12 days of the Christmas season - from December 25 to January 5! The time right before December 25 is known as Advent, when we prepare our hearts for Christ’s birth. The time starting January 6 is called Epiphany, which celebrates when the wise men came to honor Jesus and bring him gifts. What are some gifts that you have to bring Jesus? Are there special ways you can share His love this Christmas season?
