Faith Incorporated: 5 Reasons to Integrate Your Faith and WorkSample

5 Reasons to Integrate Your Faith and Work: Reason Five
In this series, we’re sharing five reasons why integrating your faith and work has great value. The final reason is because God can transform entire workplaces.
Seth felt God was instructing him to stay employed at Home Depot until every employee heard about Jesus. Obediently, Seth began a Bible study, then a prayer group at work.
Two years later, God released Seth from Home Depot. All 170 employees had heard about Jesus and 100 of them had accepted Jesus as their Lord.
Hebrews 11:32 says, “Time is too short for me to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and the prophets, who by faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, obtained promises, and shut the mouths of lions.”
Seth discovered that through his faith he was able to conquer darkness in his workplace and to bring hope and light to dozens who may have never received it otherwise.
God’s Spirit, and our faithfulness, can transform lives and entire workplaces. What a great reason for integrating your faith and work each and every work day.
Questions for Reflections
- Reflect on your current workplace or community. In what ways might God be calling you to make an impact, and how can you take steps of faith to transform the environment around you?
- Think about Seth’s obedience in staying at Home Depot until every employee heard about Jesus. Is there a specific mission or purpose you feel God has placed on your heart in your work or personal life? How can you pursue it faithfully?
- Consider a time when you witnessed or experienced transformation in a workplace or group setting. What role did faith, prayer, or intentional action play in that change, and how can you apply those lessons to your own circumstances?
