In Repair

DAY 8 OF 28

Reading the Bible can feel intimidating sometimes. But one simple way of studying Scripture is called S.O.A.P. It stands for "Scripture," "Observation," "Application," and "Prayer." We'll show you how—it's easy!

S: Scripture

If you haven't already, read today's passage of Scripture. Then summarize it in your own words.

O: Observation

Read Ephesians 2:13–16 again.

  • What problem is addressed in it?
  • What does it teach about how Jesus repairs our relationships?
  • How does it say Jesus does this?

A: Application

How have you seen damage in a friendship impact your or someone close to you's sense of belonging?

What would you say is at stake if you allow a broken relationship to stay the way it is?

Who's someone you need to repair your relationship with this week? What steps would you need to take to do so?

P: Prayer

Spend some time in prayer about a relationship you need Jesus' help to repair. Take time to say you're sorry for any way pride or fear have kept you from offering forgiveness or peace in the past. Ask for help making things right with the other person. Then, thank God for all the ways Jesus helps us repair our relationships with others.

About this Plan

In Repair

It’s easy to see brokenness in our lives and the world, leaving us feeling hopeless. But with Jesus, broken things don’t have to stay broken. In this 4-week devotional from Grow Curriculum, we’ll explore how making things right starts with our relationship with God and leads us to bring healing to others and the world around us.
