When God Says No!Sample

Another time a "no" from God hurts is when we are not aligned with His purposes and His will for us. Let me give you an example: There is a football match going on. Each team has a designated direction of play and the goal where they need to move towards to score. Now, if one player suddenly decides to start playing in the other direction, it will cause chaos. It will cause disunity. Similarly, when our plans and purposes are not aligned with God’s, we start to play for that opposing team.
In scripture, we see that Peter rebukes Jesus when He begins to tell them that the Son of Man must suffer. Jesus rebukes him and says, "Get behind me, Satan!" Why does Jesus use such harsh words? It’s because that is exactly who we are fighting against. Satan tempted Jesus with the crown before the cross. In the same way, when we are undecided on which team we are playing for, we might be tempted to play for the opposing team. We must constantly try and align ourselves with God’s plan and purposes for our lives.
Prayer
Lord, help me discern what Your will and purpose for my life are. Give me the wisdom and clarity that come from You. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

About this Plan

In this plan we look at what we should do when God says no. We know the Lord gives with grace and glory; no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. But at times that is by saying no! Sounds like a paradox? Join us to find out how this is possible.
