When God Says No!Sample

Over the last few days, we’ve seen why God says no—because of His foreknowledge and the goodness of His heart. We’ve seen why sometimes the "no's" that we receive may hurt. Today, we are going to look at how we should respond when God says no.
We must humble ourselves and submit to His divine will, just like Jesus in the garden. We shouldn’t think "what if" or "that," just yield. If we trust that God is good, we must trust that this "no" we are receiving has a divine reason and purpose.
Seek God’s purpose: Ask yourself if you are aligned with His purposes. Get into the Word. Seek God’s will for your life.
Don't quit when He says no; continue to seek His will. Don't leave church. Don't stop your time spent with Him. In those times when He says no, all the more we should remain faithful, even if it hurts. Don’t let your feelings define your relationship with Him. That’s what Satan does and wants. Stay in fellowship.
Pray for strength and perspective: Ask for grace to trust in Him and the courage to go on with what He has in store for you, even when it doesn't make sense. Have a small group to intercede for you through this.
It is not by our strength or will that we can achieve this, but by trusting in His character that we can learn to accept His "no's." It is in that knowledge that we can take comfort, and that helps us accept His no. What is God like?
- He is loving—everything He does is motivated by His love for us.
- Faithful.
- All-knowing.
- Sovereign.
"No" is not a sign of rejection—it’s an invitation to trust Him more deeply, to draw closer to Him to know His will for your life.
The next time God says "no," let’s try and surrender to God’s perfect will and plan for us. The more we know of His character and what He is like, the easier it will be to surrender to Him. Let us stay in the Word. Let us seek Him continually.

About this Plan

In this plan we look at what we should do when God says no. We know the Lord gives with grace and glory; no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. But at times that is by saying no! Sounds like a paradox? Join us to find out how this is possible.
