From Acceptance to Approval: Living a Life That Pleases the Father

DAY 21 OF 30

THE BLESSING OF DIVINE PLEASURE

When the heavens opened over Jesus at His baptism, the Father declared, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased" - Matthew 3:17 (KJV). Divine pleasure is not a vague or mystical idea; it is the highest endorsement a believer can receive from the Father. Hebrews 11:5–6 tells us that Enoch received testimony that he pleased God, and without faith, it is impossible to please Him. Pleasing God is both a calling and a possibility for every child of God who chooses the life of faith, obedience, and surrender.

Beloved, pleasing the Father is the true measure of Christian success. It is not the size of your platform, the number of your achievements, or the praises you receive from men that define your greatness in the kingdom. It is the simple, often hidden, life of faithfulness that registers in heaven. Sons and daughters who grow beyond acceptance into divine approval are those who live with one consuming passion: to bring joy to the Father's heart. Their motivation is not fear of punishment nor mere desire for blessings, but pure love and a deep yearning to satisfy the Father’s desire.

I want you to learn that there is no higher reward, no greater satisfaction, than knowing that your life brings pleasure to the Father. As you journey through this devotional, set your heart firmly on this goal. In your words, in your thoughts, in your private decisions and public actions, let your guiding question be, "Father, are You pleased?" Living for divine pleasure will purify your motives, stabilise your emotions, and align your destiny with God's eternal purpose. Let heaven’s smile be the only reward you seek.

THOUGHT TO PONDER: Are you living daily with the consciousness of bringing pleasure to the Father? How can you make divine pleasure your highest goal in every area of your life?

PRAYER: Dear Father, thank You for the privilege of bringing You pleasure through my life. Help me to walk by faith, to live in obedience, and to align my heart completely with Your desires. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
