A Purpose-Filled Pursuit
As we come to the final readings in this month’s plan—Song of Songs 8:5–14 and 2 Timothy 3:10–4:22—we pause to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve taken together through God’s Word.
We began in Ecclesiastes, where we are invited to wrestle honestly with life’s meaning and to seek purpose beyond what is fleeting. From there, we stepped into the poetic beauty of Song of Songs, where desire and devotion reminded us of the deep relational love we were made for.
At the same time, we’ve journeyed through the powerful letters of Paul—Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 & 2 Thessalonians, and 1 & 2 Timothy—each one calling us to live with clarity, conviction, and gospel-shaped purpose in our everyday lives.
Our final readings today tie it all together. In Song of Songs 8, love is sealed, strong as death and unquenchable—a picture of commitment and belonging. And in 2 Timothy, Paul, nearing the end of his life, urges Timothy to carry the gospel forward with courage, endurance, and hope. It’s a fitting close: a love worth guarding and a purpose worth pursuing.
Let this final day inspire fresh devotion to the Word and to the God who speaks through it.

What has God revealed to you this month about your purpose, and how will you respond?
Prayer of Illumination:
Lord, thank You for speaking to me through Your Word. As I read today, give me insight, strength, and renewed passion to walk in the purpose You’ve called me to. Seal these truths deep in my heart. Amen.
