When the Promise Shows Up
The followers of Jesus waited. They prayed. They didn’t know what was coming or when—but they believed the promise. And then, it happened.
A sound like wind. Tongues of fire. A room full of ordinary people filled with extraordinary power. The Spirit of God came and filled these believers, giving them boldness to speak the Word of God and live the new life Christ had bought for them.
If you believe in Jesus, then the Spirit is willing and ready every day for you to experience more of him. He can fill you again and again. All you need to do is ask.
Ask the Holy Spirit to move in your thoughts, your relationships, your challenges, and your dreams. He’s not distant. He’s ready. Just like before, the promise still stands—and the Spirit still comes.
Pray: “Holy Spirit, thank you for being real and present. Fill me again. Help me notice you, trust you, and follow where you lead. I want to live in your power and reflect your love every day.”
The Holy Spirit is God with you and within you. Keep asking. Keep expecting. He’s not finished with you yet.
