Romans: A 30 Day Visit

DAY 10 OF 30

Paul poses two rhetorical questions- one in this first verse, and one in verse 15. In verse 1, he asks, "Should we sin more to get more grace?" NO is his emphatic answer.

In fact, he tells us to 'count' or decide, or reckon ourselves completely dead to sin.

Where are the areas in your own life where you are tempted to offer parts of your body as instruments to sin?

Grace gives us the option to turn away. To count ourselves dead to sin. But it takes effort and resolve.

How have you seen yourself gain mastery over a sin area in your life? What has that path looked like?

About this Plan

Romans: A 30 Day Visit

Paul's letter to the church in Rome is packed! He is helping this new church establish a vision for what it looks like to be citizens of God's Kingdom. There is doctrine to learn and live by, as well as wisdom for living life in ways that accurately reflect the King. As we take the trip together over the next month, we too see that what we believe, always influences how we live.
