Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you (Psalm 122:6 NKJV).
Do you love what God loves?
In today’s reading, John witnesses the dreadful image of Babylon, personified by a prostitute. However, this woman will meet her downfall due to her numerous transgressions (Revelation 17 and 18). All of God’s children should detest everything she embodies.
Do you cherish the things God values and despise the things He considers corrupt? Take a moment to reflect on your heart. If you have embraced the world’s fleeting pleasures that God detests, seek His forgiveness. Realign your life and commit to viewing the world through God’s eyes.
Employment Point: Embrace God, His holy city, and His people for His blessing.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
