Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives (Zechariah 14:4 NKJV).
Do you confidently live knowing Jesus will return?
Zechariah 14 describes Jesus’ Second Coming and judgment upon His enemies at the end of the Tribulation. Jude also boldly predicts this event: “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, to execute judgment on all” (Jude 14–15 NKJV). Our Lord’s Second Coming will not only be to thwart His enemies but also to establish His kingdom.
Subsequent to these events, Revelation 21 paints a picture of eternity: no more tears, death, or pain as God dwells with His people. Do you long for that day? Let the hope of eternity strengthen your faith and shape your priorities.
Living with heaven in view helps us navigate today’s trials with joy and purpose. Reflect on how the promise of eternity changes your perspective. Share that hope with someone today.
Employment Point: Live confidently knowing Jesus will return and fulfill all Scripture.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
