HE WILL SHOW YOU 'HIDDEN TRUTHS'

"Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know, do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand." – Jeremiah 33:3 (AMPC)

The fourth promise of God to those who call upon Him is to show them 'hidden things/truths'. These are things that are concealed from casual eyes, but available to those who seek with reverence. These include God's mysteries, His timing and deeper spiritual truths. Casual means just doing the same thing every day without considering that the Lord has something to share with you! To discover these 'hidden truths', we have to set aside a bit more time. We have to focus more intentionally on getting to know God for who He is. Into the depths of God's heart, where revelation is not cheap, but precious. Spending time to read and ponder passages from Scripture is a good starting point. If your mind feels a bit scattered, it might also help in the beginning to write out a verse that stands out to you in a notebook, while slowly praying and saying each word from that verse back to the Lord in prayer.

So often we pour out our hearts about the things on our hearts. Will you not consider giving more of your time, more of your heart to Him in prayer and devotional times? Asking Him what is on His heart today?

Where can you start? Open your notebook and begin to write down your prayers on paper. Soon you will hear His voice speaking back to you. Write down those thoughts as well.

You will be surprised what He has to share with you!

PRAY

Father, forgive me for pouring out my heart to you without making room to listen to hear what is on Your heart too. Lord, I want to search out the hidden things of your heart, not with pride, but with true reverence and hunger. Lead me, Holy Spirit, to grow deeper in love with my heavenly Father.
