"Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know, do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand." – Jeremiah 33:3 (AMPC)

The next promise of God to those who call upon Him is that He will show us things we 'do not have knowledge of'. What is meant here is not just knowing facts or finding out facts. This is relational, experiential knowledge. It is about knowing God through intimacy, encounter and obedience in our everyday lives. It is the difference between reading about light and walking in it. O, my dear friend, the Lord is deeply longing to share His heart with you! He wants to reveal Himself to us, but only does this in response to those who 'draw near'. We take one step closer and then He takes one step closer. To have knowledge of His ways only comes from walking with Him, not just studying Him or about Him.

This is a heartfelt invitation from the Lord's heart to your heart. He wants you to understand why He sometimes says 'no' and at other times says 'yes'. Why He sometimes says, 'not now'. He wants you to understand more than just being satisfied with a mere 'yes' or 'no'. He wants to walk with you every day of your life. He wants to fellowship with you, like He did back in the garden with Adam in the cool of the day. Are you willing to say 'yes' to live closer to Him like this?

PRAY

Father, forgive me for not realizing the longing of Your heart for me to give all of my heart, mind, soul and strength to You. I repent of selfishness and even secretly accusing You of not loving me because I do not get what I want or ask in prayer the way I want! I am deeply sorry for hurting Your heart. I ask today that You will teach me to walk with You and not just study You or run to You when I want something.
