Moon to Blood (S4-E3)Sample

Still, you worship?
In 2 Samuel, we read the heartbreaking story of David and Bathsheba. David abuses his power to take Bathsheba from her husband and then have her husband killed. But the tragedy doesn’t stop there. The child who is born to them dies. So much pain and brokenness.
In the aftermath, David prays. He repents and asks for mercy.
So why does the child still die?
The Bible doesn’t give us an answer.
And that’s important to underline—because some people treat the Bible as the book with all the answers. But that’s not true.
The Bible doesn’t tell you why you get sick.
 Or why you are bullied.
Or why your marriage is struggling.
Or why… (fill in the blank).
What you do find in the Bible are stories of people who, time after time, continue to trust God. People who hold on to Him in the middle of questions, pain, and silence.
The Bible points you to God: the One who is faithful, involved, and never indifferent. In The Chosen, Bathsheba asks: “Still you worship?” And David answers: “I do. Through sorrow, joy, and sorrow again. This is the meaning of faith.”
Hebrews 11 highlights people who lived this kind of faith. Name after name, these people held onto God in the midst of terrible circumstances because they believed God was holding onto them. They are heroes who kept their eyes on Him.
Will you worship like them?

Prayer
Lord, it is a comfort to know You are always there, but so often I don’t see it. Help me to remain a worshiper anyway. Thank You that You are deeply involved in my life. Stay near, Lord. Amen.
