The Promise of LightSample

Day 9 — Prepare the Way
Scripture: Isaiah 40:3–5 — “A voice of one calling: ‘In the wilderness prepare the way for the Lord.’”
Devotional Thought: Preparation is an act of faith. Before the light dawns, we make room for it. John the Baptist’s cry in the wilderness reminds us that hearts must be cleared of clutter, pride, worry, and distraction — to welcome Jesus fully. Advent isn’t just about waiting; it’s about getting ready for the King to come.
Prayer Prompt: Lord, help me clear space in my heart for You. Remove anything that keeps me from seeing Your light clearly.
Daily Challenge: Simplify something today, whether it be a plan, a space, or a thought. Make room for God’s peace to fill it.
