Surrounded: Living With Confidence in God’s ProtectionSample

Devotional:
Just as Elisha saw God’s invisible army protecting him, we too are surrounded by God’s presence and protection. Even when we face challenges or feel overwhelmed, God is always with us.

Psalm 91 paints a picture of divine security, not because life is free of danger, but because we serve a God who rules over it. His protection isn’t always visible, but it’s always real. When we abide in Him, we live under His covering.

Reflect on times when you’ve felt God’s protection in your life, a near miss, a door that closed, a peace that didn’t make sense. Those weren’t coincidences; they were reminders of His sovereignty.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for being my refuge and fortress. Even when I can’t see what You’re doing, I trust that You’re working on my behalf. Help me live each day with awareness of Your presence and confidence in Your protection. Cover my family, my mind, and my heart under Your wings. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Application:
Start each morning this week by saying out loud: “God, You are in control of my day. I trust Your protection and plan.” Write Psalm 91:2 somewhere visible as a daily reminder.
