GRACE OVERFLOWS - 30 Days of Grace.Sample

The Gospel Is Grace
It is easy to assume that a “different gospel” must be something loud, strange, or obviously false. But that is not what Paul confronted in Galatians. The danger wasn’t an outrageous new doctrine—it was something far subtler. Paul writes, “I marvel that you are turning away so soon from God, who called you to Himself through the grace of Christ… to a different gospel.” (Galatians 1:6 NLT).
The Galatians weren’t drifting into atheism or idol worship. They were drifting away from grace. And according to Paul, depending on your own effort, performance, discipline, or religious achievement, is already stepping toward “another gospel.” When you move from grace to self-reliance, you lose your joy, peace, and sense of rest.
But the true Gospel is the grace of Christ. When you came to salvation, you were not invited into a system or a behavior checklist. You were invited into grace. Into the free acceptance purchased by Jesus’ sacrifice. Into a love that does not wobble based on your best day or worst day. Into a righteousness that does not expire when your strength does.
This is why Paul reacts so strongly. To abandon grace is to abandon the very heart of the Gospel. It is to trade freedom for bondage, joy for heaviness, and rest for exhaustion. And he reminds us: there is no other gospel. Anything built on human effort, performance, or achievement is already a distortion of Christ’s message.
May you stay rooted, anchored, and unmoved from the grace of Christ and may your heart rest daily in the Gospel—the message of grace.
Challenge
Throughout your day, pay attention to the moments you slip into self-reliance or self-condemnation. When you notice it, pause, pray, and say to yourself: “My calling is in the grace of Christ.”
