Asking in Faith

In a Few Words:

Imagine what it would be like to be “a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.” You would be completely at the mercy of something other than yourself. It wouldn't matter what you wanted to do or where you wanted to go; you would just have zero say in the matter. That's not the kind of life I want to live—and it's not the kind that God intended for us!

God has chosen us to be His sons and daughters, giving us authority to change the circumstances in our lives. There is power in prayer when we come boldly before the Lord in faith, but when we allow doubt to seep in that power is lost.

Remember the faithfulness of God when you pray. Remember His promises and all that He has for you. Remember that He is the greatest power in the universe and that He loves you so much. Then pray in faith and throw the doubt out the window.

Think about some of your past prayer requests. Have you been asking in faith or has doubt been getting in the way?

Challenge:

Come up with a Doubt Elimination Plan. Look in the Bible for some scriptures and stories that help build your confidence in God.
