Admonitions on Prayer

Why do we pray? We pray because God answers. Prayer mentality does not start from ("PUSH" — Pray until something happens); rather, prayer mentality starts with this: I am praying to a God who answers.

God’s answering to prayer is the biggest drive to prayer. My prayer does not move God to answer; rather, God’s nature of answering prayer moves me to pray! So, I’m not badgering the gates of heaven. I’m not storming heaven.

I am not shouting to get God's attention. No, I won His attention the day I got born again. My prayer is in response to His nature — He answers prayers! Oh boy!!

The size of the problem does not make us pray. What gives us the boldness to pray is based on God’s very character in prayer: He answers. We are not praying, hoping He will answer. We know He answers, so we pray!!

Can you see this? Can you have a picture of God beckoning you to pray? It will do something to your boldness to pray and faith to receive from God.
