DAY 6 — Purpose in Progress: Obedience Is the Path

Purpose often feels complicated—but God makes it simple.

Purpose is obedience.

Many people delay purpose because they’re waiting for something bigger, clearer, or more dramatic. But Scripture shows us that God works progressively. He takes us from glory to glory, step by step, chapter by chapter.

Purpose is not one big moment. It’s a faithful journey.

God places us strategically—in school, at work, in business, in marriage, in family, in ministry, in hidden seasons. The real question is not where you want to be, but whether you are obedient where you are.

Obedience is the doorway to elevation.

Throughout Scripture, God advances people who are faithful with what’s in front of them. Joseph served well in prison before leading a nation. David was faithful in the field before the throne. Peter obeyed daily before leading thousands.

Purpose unfolds like chapters in a book. Each chapter prepares you for the next. Skipping obedience only delays the story.

Sometimes the most purposeful thing you can do is show up faithfully, forgive consistently, serve humbly, and honor God quietly. Heaven notices obedience long before the world notices impact.

If you’re waiting for “more,” ask yourself: Am I faithful with what I already have?

God doesn’t rush purpose. He grows it.

• Are you being obedient in that season, or waiting for another one?

Lord, help me obey You fully where I am. Teach me to trust the process of becoming. Amen.
